Give Up Sweepstakes For Lent? (Plus Some Fashion Giveaways)

Published by michelle at 4:01 pm under fashion prizes Edit This

I have been contemplating giving up the act of entering sweepstakes for the time of Lent. I have never given up anything for Lent before. Usually, I loathe the season of Lent because I hear others complain so much about what they give up. “I wish I could have chocolate” or something.  But this year I want to give something up and give the time to God.

Lent is the time of 40 days before Easter. It is supposed to be a time of devotion, contemplation, consideration, and frugality. I want to try this. I want to give up something special to me.

My husband suggested entering sweepstakes. But I love entering!!! I spend about an hour an day entering my usual sweepstakes and perhaps another hour finding more or entering one-time giveaways. Perhaps I could grow and mature a lot if this time was spent elsewhere. It’s just something I am pondering. If I take a break from entering contests, I will still update this blog.
